Position: Speech-Language Pathologist

About Us:

Our school in Westville, Illinois, is dedicated to providing top-notch educational services to our students. We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team and help our students improve their communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech and language disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement customized therapy plans tailored to each student's needs.
  • Deliver direct therapy services for speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student development.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of student assessments, therapy sessions, and progress.
  • Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals.
  • Provide training and support to school staff and parents on speech and language development issues.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements and best practices in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech-Language Pathology Endorsement.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Illinois State Speech-Language Pathology License.
  • Candidates completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in a school setting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of students.
Required Licensure and Certifications:
  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech-Language Pathology Endorsement.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA (or CFY status).
  • Illinois State Speech-Language Pathology License.
