Job Description: As a High School Science Teacher at Soliant Education, you will have the opportunity to ignite students' interest in science and cultivate their scientific literacy and critical thinking skills. You will create engaging lessons that promote hands-on exploration and inquiry-based learning. We are seeking an enthusiastic educator who is committed to inspiring the next generation of scientists and problem solvers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement dynamic lesson plans that align with state curriculum standards and encourage scientific inquiry and exploration
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, including laboratory investigations and technology integration, to engage students in the study of science
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture where all students feel encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas, and collaborate with their peers
- Assess student understanding and progress through formative and summative assessments
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary units and integrate science into other content areas
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and administrators regarding student progress and academic goals
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Valid teaching certification in Science (or eligibility to obtain certification)
- Strong knowledge of science content and pedagogy across multiple disciplines (e.g., biology, chemistry, physics)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to continuous professional growth and development
