  • Job Summary
    • The Pharmacy System Buyer Level II is proficient with wholesaler ordering systems, understands inventory management and contract compliance. This position is responsible for ensuring standard operating procedures are established and followed for each area covered by 340B and analyzing those purchases. The buyer facilitates creation of charge master records for new drug items by providing timely and accurate information to the clinical coordinator and IS pharmacist. Recommends price updates as price changes are identified to ensure proper patient billing. The buyer will also work under the guidance of a Registered Pharmacist on drug selection to completely meet the drug needs of our patient population. Coordinates with the Director, Clinical Manager, and /or Business Manager based on identified changes in medication availability or significant price changes. The Level II Buyer also performs high level accounting, analysis, and cost recovery work using wholesaler, GPO, and other business tools.
  • Job Requirements
    • Education
      • Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
      • Preferred: Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in related field
    • Experience
      • Required: 3-4 years related experience.
    • Skills
      • Working knowledge of generic / brand medication names
      • Excellent math, organization, prioritization skills.
      • High level of courtesy and customer service skills
      • Requires use of Microsoft Office, recall, and wholesaler software programs
    • Licensure/Certification/Registration
      • Registered or eligible for registration with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician.
