This 36 bed Med Surg GeneralSurgery Department is a Center for Bariatric Excellence. Typicalpatient population also includes: General Surgery, Telemetry, andGeneral Medical patients. The Nurse to Patient Ratio is between 1:5or 1:6 depending on the census. Our Nurses work closely with ourinterdisciplinary team to provide patient centered care. Our unitis comprised of multiple skill levels with the support ofexperienced charge nurses, and an energetic clinical manager. RESPONSIBLE FOR:
The staff nurse provides nursing care topatients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursingprocesses to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care forpatients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies andprocedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growthand accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintainingstandards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of allassigned staff in the provision of quality nursingcare.

Qualifications:
MINIMUMEDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of a nursingprogram
MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED:
New Graduates of a nursing programeligible
MINIMUMLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
CurrentLicense in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLCMultistate License.
BLS certification required.
ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS:
For PRN positions: One year ofnursing experience in a hospital setting is required
Bachelors degree preferred
Advancedcertification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)
