Job Overview:
In this role, you'll be instrumental in assisting licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating students with communication and swallowing challenges. Working closely with our team, you'll help craft and execute treatment plans, provide therapy services, and track client progress. This position offers a chance to contribute to the field of speech-language pathology and positively influence lives.
Key Responsibilities:
Aid in assessments, overseen by licensed SLPs, to pinpoint speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing issues.
Support the creation of tailored treatment plans based on assessments, client objectives, and SLP guidance.
Administer therapeutic interventions as directed, covering speech and language, voice, fluency, and swallowing therapy.
Employ diverse methods and tools to bolster communication skills, enhance speech clarity, and foster language development.
Collaborate with families, caregivers, and fellow professionals to offer guidance and education on communication disorders.
Assist in tracking student progress, documenting outcomes, and communicating findings to licensed SLPs.
Stay abreast of advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing professional development.
Participate actively in team meetings, case discussions, and contribute to the school's overall success.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field.
Valid state certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
Prior experience in an SLPA role or similar capacity is advantageous.
Familiarity with assessment tools and therapeutic techniques in speech-language pathology.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team under licensed SLP supervision.
