This position is an entry-level training and developmentposition. The Maintenance I teammate troubleshoots, repairs, andperform preventive maintenance actions on material handlingequipment and other facility support systems in the distributioncenter environment.

The typical schedule for thisposition is Sun - Thurs 7am - 3:30pm.Some schedule flexibility ishelpful.

ESSENTIAL JOBFUNCTIONS:
  • Ensure thatspare parts usage, inventory and work order actions are accuratelytracked and documented according to Companypolicy.
  • Assist with DC maintenance requirementssuch as (but not limited to) refrigeration systems, plumbing,building lighting, welding, dock doors, air systems, racking, totewasher, and air spray painting.
  • Maximizeavailability of all classes of batteries by managing chargingcycles and battery rotation.
  • Performinspections and cleaning; do specific gravity checks; evaluatecable serviceability and repair damage.
  • Developa working knowledge of the required aspects of the McLaneMaintenance Connectiondatabase.

MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS &REQUIREMENTS:
  • Highschool diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year ofprofessional experience in industrialmaintenance.
  • At least 1 year of maintenanceexperience with material handlingequipment.
  • Able to read and understandelectrical schematics.
  • Experience withdistribution center industrial equipment, including (but notlimited to) forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, tuggers, andcarts.
  • Knowledge of OSHAregulations.
  • Basic computer skills withexperience in a maintenance database such as MP2, DataStream 7i, orMaintenance Connection.
