Job Title: Elementary School Special Education Teacher

Location: South Carolina, USA

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our elementary school team in South Carolina. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs, ensuring goals are tailored to each students unique abilities.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to provide inclusive educational experiences for all students.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning styles and needs of students with disabilities.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to engage students and promote academic growth.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress and behavior, and communicate effectively with parents/guardians and other stakeholders.
  • Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes independence, self-advocacy, and social-emotional development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field (Masters degree preferred).
  • Valid South Carolina teaching certificate in Special Education.
  • Experience working with middle school students with disabilities is preferred.
  • Knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families.
