Castro Valley, CA: School-based Speech-Language Pathologist

Calling on Speech-Language Pathologists who want to help children attain their communication goalsSoliant has partnered with several K-12 schools in the area of Castro Valley, and is seeking contract SLPs for this school year.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience strongly preferred
- Candidates must have either a California SLP license or a Clinical and Rehabilitative Services credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing
- Prior schools experience strongly preferred
As a Speech-Language Pathologist in an education setting, clinicians will:
- Conduct both informal and standardized assessments to determine students' level of speech therapy needs
- Consult with or support teachers in observing, describing and referring students who may have speech and language impairments
- Write reports based on evaluation results, in accordance with state and federal mandates
- Develop IEP goals in collaboration with District staff and families
- Present evaluation reports and IEP goals at meetings
- In some cases, SLPs may be called upon to supervise Clinical Fellows, student interns (at both the graduate and undergraduate level), and SLPAs
