Classification Supervisor

The Classification Supervisor isresponsible for aspects of inmate/resident incarceration related tohousing and welfare. 

• Analyze, comprehend and interprettechnical procedures or governmental regulations, legal andnon-legal documents, including the processing of such documents asmedical instructions, commitment orders, summons and other legalwrits.
• Comply with the requirements of applicable regulations,laws, rules, procedures, policies, standards and/or contract in theclassification of inmates. 
• Perform rescue functions at accidents, emergencies anddisasters to include administering basic emergency medical aid,physically removing people away from dangerous situations, andsecuring and evacuating people from confined areas.

Qualifications: 

• Graduate froman accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree insocial or behavioral science or a closely relatedfield.
• Five years work experiencewith inmates/residents, social work, inmate/residentclassification, probation and parole, inmate/residentrehabilitation or penologypreferred.
• Additional related educationor work experience may be substituted on an equivalent timebasis.
•  A valid driver's licenseis required.
•  Minimumage requirement:  Must be at least 18 years of age.
