Are you a passionate and dedicated school psychologist driven to empower students of all ages to reach their full potential?
Soliant Education is seeking a qualified School Psychologist to join our team in the Gold Canyon, AZ area This full-time, on-site position for the 2024-2025 school year offers the rewarding opportunity to provide comprehensive psychological services to students across the entire K-12 spectrum.
What You'll Do:
- Conduct individual and group psychoeducational assessments to identify students' academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs specific to their developmental stage (elementary, middle, or high school).
- Develop and interpret psychological reports with recommendations for interventions and support strategies tailored to students at all grade levels (K-12).
- Collaborate with general and special education teachers, administrators, and parents to create effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans for students with diverse needs.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address students' social-emotional needs, including anxiety, depression, and peer relationships, focusing on strategies for success throughout K-12.
- Consult with teachers and staff on classroom management strategies and positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS) appropriate for students at various grade levels.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives to promote a positive school climate and social-emotional well-being for all K-12 students.
- Stay up-to-date on best practices in school psychology and participate in professional development opportunities to maintain expertise in supporting students across the K-12 developmental spectrum.
Qualifications:
- Arizona State School Psychologist License.
- Prior experience working in a school setting with a K-12 student population is highly preferred.
- Strong assessment skills in the areas of intellectual functioning, academic achievement, social-emotional development, and behavior specific to students across the K-12 spectrum.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and school staff in a developmentally appropriate way for different age groups.
- Proficiency in data analysis and report writing.
- Collaborative and team-oriented approach with a commitment to student success at all grade levels (K-12).
- Strong understanding of child and adolescent development and learning theories.
- Knowledge of evidence-based interventions and best practices in school psychology specifically tailored to the K-12 student population.
