Soliant has partnered with a special school in Waterford, MI, and is seeking a full-time, contract School Psychologist to help finish out the school year.

The school serves students with significant cognitive impairments, multiple impairments, or who present significant behavioral challenges. The team is closely served by a multi-disciplinary team of SLPs, OTs, Social Workers, and support staff.

Duties include:

  • Providing direct or indirect services including: 
    • Observations
    • Data collection
    • Review of student records collecting data
    • Conferences with teachers and parents
    • Student interviews
    • Functional Behavioral Assessments
    • Counseling (individual and group)
    • Behavior Intervention Plans
  • Executing psychological assessments, interpreting data, and writing reports in accordance with District, State and Federal guidelines
  • Attending IEP, team, school, and district-level meetings
  • Making referrals to resources to facilitate educational and behavioral interventions recommended for student success.
  • Participating in mediations, administrative reviews, hearings and due process proceedings, as needed.
  • Participating in disciplinary proceedings: expulsions, manifestations, and causation meetings.
