Job Title: Director of Compliance and ControlsLocation: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)Salary Range: $180,000 - $200,000Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role Our client is seeking a seasoned Director of Controls to lead and enhance their global financial controls function. This strategic leadership role will oversee a team of six professionals across international locations, ensuring robust compliance, risk mitigation, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a global team of six control professionals. Design, implement, and monitor internal control frameworks across business units. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in control processes and systems. Provide strategic insights to senior leadership on risk and control matters. Oversee SOX compliance and internal audit coordination. Qualifications Minimum 10 years of experience in financial controls, audit, or risk management. Active CPA certification required. Advanced degree preferred: MBA, MAcc, MSA. Proven leadership experience managing global teams. Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SOX, and internal control frameworks. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
