Handle embedding and microtomy of all surgical specimens accurately and efficiently. Maintain quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of results. Prepare and process tissue samples for microscopic examination by pathologists. Follow laboratory safety standards and maintain specimen integrity throughout all processes. Collaborate with the surgical pathology team to support diagnostic services and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.Required Qualifications: Education: Associate's Degree in Science and completion of an accredited Histology program or Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (required). Licensure: Active New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License or Certified Histology Technician or Clinical Laboratory Technician certification from NYSED (required). Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in histology, including biopsy and dermatology specimen processing.
