Staff Engineering Technician Pay: $48.25 Location: Overland Park, KS (Onsite Only) Contract to Possible Hire US Citizenship or Green Card Required SUMMARY: COMPANY is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician with strong skills in Autodesk Inventor and Substation Design Suite (SDS). This role supports drafting and design work for substation projects and requires prior experience in the substation industry. Key Requirements: 3–5 years of experience using Autodesk Inventor with SDS in substation design Candidates with Inventor experience and substation industry background (even without SDS) will be considered Candidates with Inventor experience only and no substation background will not be considered Ability to work independently on drafting and design tasks Diploma or certificate preferred; Associate degree in Drafting or Engineering Design Technology is a plus Responsibilities: Perform advanced drafting and design tasks with minimal supervision Apply company standards, codes, and document control procedures Review design inputs for accuracy and consistency Coordinate with other project teams to ensure smooth delivery Support final project documentation and as-built records Share technical knowledge and contribute to process improvements May guide or mentor junior team members
