Responsibilities

Responsibilities include Systems Engineering across the below areas:

  • Work as Systems Engineer and Technical Assistant (SETA) to the Government
  • Coordinate regularly with development contractors to manage and resolve technical and programmatic deficiencies, ensuring government stakeholders are satisfied with contractor performance
  • Provide Systems Engineering support to a processing acquisition for important space assets
  • Utilize organizational and communication skills to clearly and concisely present information, ensuring the government and all stakeholders are kept informed on system status
  • Assess impacts from Requests for Change (RFCs) across a major GEOINT processing acquisition

Qualifications

Required:

  • BS 8-10, MS 6-8, PhD 3-5
  • Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI with Poly
  • Understanding of GEOINT Radar and Electro-Optical processing systems
  • Understanding of GEOINT product quality or ability to learn quickly
  • Experience with the acquisition of software development contracts or SETA/acquisition
  • Strong representational, oral, and written communications skills, including the ability to produce clear, logical, and concise products
  • Proven organization and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to interface effectively via written and verbal forums with personnel at all levels of government
  • Experience with commercial Atlassian tools (e.g. Confluence, JIRA) or ability to learn quickly

Desired:

  • Acquisition experience on small to large-scale software systems
  • Understanding of Mission Operations Directorate CONOPS
  • Experience with Requests for Change (RFCs)
  • Knowledge of SAFe or Agile frameworks
  • Experience with Systems Engineering requirements, architectures, and verification/validation (V&V)
  • Understanding of programmatic processes, including Risk, Readiness, and Schedules
