Employment Type: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Grade Level: 5th and 6th Grade, Resource Classroom
Job Description: Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time position in Kings Mountain, NC. The successful candidate will work with students in grades 5 and 6 within a resource classroom setting. This role requires a passionate educator who is committed to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students
- Provide direct instruction and support to students based on their IEP goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure inclusive practices
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's preferred)
- North Carolina Special Education Teacher certification
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
