RESPONSIBLE FOR:
The Emergency Department (ED) Patient FlowCoordinator position is responsible for the overall movement ofpatients through the ED in a safe and efficient manner. Thisposition will coordinate all patient care activities and be aliaison with the ED medical staff to ensure that care can bedelivered in an efficient and safe manner. The Patient FlowCoordinator appropriately delegates the workload and is a rolemodel for teamwork, leadership and professionalism in theED.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATIONREQUIRED:
Graduate of a nursingprogram.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED:
One (1) year of Emergency Departmentexperience, as a registered nurse(RN).
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONREQUIRED BY LAW:
Current License in the State ofGeorgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC MultistateLicense.
ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS:
BLS/ ACLS/ PALS certificationrequired
BSN preferred
Certification inEmergency Nursing (CEN) preferred
Experienceparticipating in and/or leading quality and process improvementprojects.
