Bridging Communication Needs: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Soliant Education (Osceola Mills, PA Area)

Are you a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) seeking a rewarding opportunity to empower students with communication needs by providing exceptional services in a supportive school environment?

Soliant Education is seeking a qualified full-time SLP to join our team in the friendly Osceola Mills, PA area This full-time, in-person position for the 2024-2025 school year offers a unique chance to make a significant impact on the lives of students by offering comprehensive speech and language services tailored to their specific needs.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students to identify a variety of communication needs, including articulation disorders, fluency disorders, language delays and disorders, social communication challenges, and written language difficulties. (Specific age range will be discussed in detail during the interview process)
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans in collaboration with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to address students' individualized communication goals.
  • Provide individual and small group therapy sessions tailored to the specific needs of students, utilizing evidence-based practices and incorporating assistive technology as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop effective communication strategies for supporting students in the classroom and school environment, ensuring a smooth transition to further education or the workforce.
  • Consult with other professionals involved in student support services to ensure a cohesive approach to meeting students' needs.
  • Monitor student progress, analyze data, and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions to ensure continuous improvement in communication skills.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in speech-language pathology for the specific student population you will be serving.

Qualifications:

  • Pennsylvania State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
  • Prior experience working with students in a school setting is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of child and/or adolescent development (specific age range will be discussed in detail during the interview process) and speech and language development specific to the student population you will be serving.
  • Expertise in conducting speech and language evaluations for students, developing individualized therapy plans, and utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to this age group.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, parents, teachers, administrators, and other school staff.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, report writing, and maintaining student confidentiality.
  • A passion for promoting communication development and advocating for students with diverse communication needs.
