RESPONSIBLEFOR:
The Paramedic , under the supervision ofthe Professional Registered Nurse and/or Physician is responsiblefor facilitating age-appropriate, culturally and ethnicallysensitive care, maintaining a safe environment, educating patientsand their families, collecting information, communicatingeffectively, and utilizing technology. The Paramedic participatesin the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of thedelivery of health care services and task. The role of theParamedic Nurse Extender also, includes patient advocacy, teaching,performance improvement, and the oversight of unlicensedpersonnel.

Qualifications:
MINIMUMEDUCATION REQUIRED:
High school graduate orequivalent.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED:
None

MINIMUMLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Currentcertification as a Paramedic in the State of Georgia required,National Registry preferred

ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS:
BLS. Must be ACLS certified, orbe able to become certified immediately.
