Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive speech and language evaluations to assess students' communication abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students' specific needs and goals.
  • Conduct therapy sessions to improve students' speech and language skills, including articulation, fluency, voice, and language disorders.
  • Collaborate with other members of the educational team, including teachers, parents, and administrators, to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and communicate updates to parents and team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in Virginia.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children is highly desired.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
