Overview: Soliant Education is in search of a passionate and dedicated 5th Grade Teacher for an hourly contract position in Chicago, IL. As a 5th Grade Teacher, you'll have the opportunity to inspire and educate young minds, fostering critical thinking skills and a love for learning.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and rigorous lessons aligned with state standards.
  • Teach various subjects including math, science, English language arts, and social studies.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Utilize technology and other resources effectively in instruction.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide timely feedback.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
  • Valid Illinois teaching certification (Type 03) with an endorsement in Elementary Education, specifically for 5th grade.
  • Previous experience teaching 5th grade preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of subject matter and pedagogy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
