Duties:

Under the immediate supervision of Bookstore operations coordinator, completes the entire textbook process each semester from adoption through purchase (including eBooks), sales and returns. Focuses on increasing the number of used textbooks available to students. Expands the rental program when appropriate. Communicates with college personnel on all levels to assure accuracy of orders, promotes understanding of the textbook industry and its effect on textbook decisions, and makes bookstore textbook policy understandable to students; detail oriented with excellent communication and computer skills. The Bookstore Textbook Expeditor is dedicated to the learning college concepts by developing programs and facilitating activities that promote student success and lifelong learning.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Minimum of two years of experience in Point of Sales cash registers. Minimum of two years textbook buying experience. Special training in the related fields.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to complete the purchasing of textbooks and purchase orders, and ability to receive them into the computer system.
• People-oriented personality.
• Effective communication skills.
• Basic computer data entry and typing skills.
• Ability to work with minor direct supervision.

Monday through Friday
8:00 am -4:45 pm

Minimum Starting Rate:

$15.73 (plus benefits)
