Defense Analyst, Senior

Key Role:

Conduct doctrine, organization, training, materiel, leadership and education, personnel, and facilities (DOTMLPF) research. Analyze missions to determine resources, capabilities, and training needs, and review, revise, or develop mission task lists, including considerations for conditions and standards. Review proposed doctrine, policy, instructions, and other mission-relevant guidance while considering knowledge management, process analysis and improvement techniques. Bring in-depth understanding and expertise to one or more aspects of service or joint missions, processes, and culture. Apply consulting or technical expertise as well as industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction and mentor and supervise team members, if needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with joint or coalition at the staff or operational levels

  • Experience with force management, United States Air Force (USAF) mission sets, readiness

  • Knowledge of Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) or DoD requirements pathways including middle tier or software acquisition

  • Knowledge of exercise planning and execution or training

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with United States Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM), Air Force, and other relevant cyber mission stakeholders throughout the DoD

  • Experience with the Air Operations Center (AOC) and other relevant stakeholders

  • Experience with DoD Training Ranges, simulators, or otherrelevant test and training infrastructure

  • Knowledge of model based systems engineering

  • TS/SCI clearance

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
