Are you a dedicated and passionate Occupational Therapist (OT) seeking a rewarding opportunity to empower elementary school students with developmental needs to reach their full potential in a vibrant Arizona setting?

Soliant Education is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to join our team in the friendly Chandler, AZ area This full-time, in-person position for the 2024-2025 school year offers a unique chance to make a significant impact on the lives of elementary school students by providing individualized occupational therapy services in a nurturing school environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to identify students' fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care skill needs within your elementary caseload.
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans (IEPs) based on best practices in occupational therapy to address students' specific challenges and promote their participation in meaningful classroom activities and daily routines.
  • Collaborate with teachers, general education paraprofessionals, parents, and other professionals to create a cohesive and supportive team approach for student success.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques and strategies to improve students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care skills, and participation in school activities.
  • Monitor student progress, analyze data on interventions, and make adjustments as needed to ensure continued improvement in functional skills.
  • Advocate for students with developmental needs and promote inclusive practices within the school community.
  • Stay current on best practices in school-based occupational therapy and participate in professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field.
  • Arizona State Licensure in Occupational Therapy or eligibility for licensure.
  • Prior experience working with children in a school setting, particularly elementary school students, is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of child development, sensory processing, fine motor skills, self-care skills, and evidence-based occupational therapy practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, parents, teachers, administrators, and other school staff.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and report writing.
  • A passion for promoting independence and participation for students with developmental needs, and a commitment to working collaboratively within a school community.
