Senior Accountant About the Role A growing and well-established manufacturing company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to support month-end close, financial reporting, and manufacturing-related accounting functions. This is a hands-on role requiring strong analytical abilities, a solid understanding of manufacturing workflows, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This position is ideal for someone with a strong academic background, robust technical skills, and a desire to grow within a high-performing finance team. Key Responsibilities Lead key components of month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting. Maintain and analyze the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP. Support cost accounting, standard costing, BOM review, and inventory analysis. Assist with variance analysis, labor/overhead allocation, and manufacturing financial metrics. Prepare financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules. Partner with operations to understand project costs, production results, and margin performance. Assist with budgeting and forecasting for plant operations and corporate reporting. Contribute to process improvements around internal controls, cost tracking, and reporting efficiency. Support external audits and provide required documentation. Qualifications MBA REQUIRED CPA preferred (active or in progress). Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, with manufacturing experience REQUIRED. Strong understanding of GAAP, inventory accounting, and standard cost processes. Experience with ERP systems within a manufacturing environment (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Epicor, Infor, etc.). Strong Excel skills - pivot tables, lookups, data analysis. Excellent communication skills and ability to partner cross-functionally with operations.
