This is a full-time position contracted through Soliant Education.

Job Description: We are looking for a passionate and dedicated High School Social Studies Teacher to inspire and educate students in Chilhowee, MO. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and curriculum objectives.
  • Teach a variety of social studies courses, potentially including U.S. History, World History, Government, Economics, and Geography.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and promote student engagement.
  • Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Studies, or a related field.
  • Valid Missouri teaching certification in Social Studies or ability to obtain certification prior to the start of the school year.
  • Experience teaching high school social studies preferred, but recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Passion for social studies education and a commitment to fostering students' critical thinking and civic literacy skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents.
