The AVP/DOS is second in command and is a member of the student affairs executive team. They directly supervise the assistant dean /director ofresidence life, assistant dean of students (care), director of student conduct, the director of the office of accessibility, and an administrative assistant. The AVP/DOS manages a budget of over $3M.QualificationsRequirements include a master's degree in student affairs, higher education administration, or a related field, seven years of progressive leadership experience in higher education or student affairs, and proven ability to manage multiple departments/services, including residence life and housing. Demonstrated commitment to student success and retention, with hands-on experience managing student conduct and Title IX compliance, supporting students of concern, and navigating challenges that may impede academic progress. Experience managing ADA/disability regulations, threat assessment protocols, risk management, and regulatory compliance. Proficiency with Maxient or a similar case management system. Budgeting experience in a similarly complex organizational structure.
