JOB PURPOSE:
Computed Tomography (CT) Technologistsspecialize in using ionizing radiation to produce
cross-sectional images to help doctors diagnose and treatpatients. CT Technologists perform
diagnosticComputerized Tomographic examinations in accordance with allprescribed
standards under the direct guidance of thesupervising Radiologist. CT Technologists provide
patientcare to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, andgeriatrics. Demonstrates
ability to perform advance CTimaging (Cardiac and Vascular) and is competent/proficient with
cross-sectional anatomy and physiology. Provides morecomplex technical care necessary to
meet identifiedpatientneeds.
Qualifications:
MINIMUMEDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of an AMAapproved Radiologic Technology program.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED:
Must have a minimum of two (2)years experience, with one (2-3) years in CT.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONREQUIRED BY LAW:
Registered by theAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technology (R) (CT).
Advanced certification by ARRT in Computed Tomography(CT).
