Job Title: Summer Special Education Teacher

Location: Roxbury, CT Area

Duration: July 3 - August 1 (Possibly longer for more severe caseloads)

Schedule:

  • ESY Dates: July 3 - August 1
  • ESY Times: 8:30 am - 11:30 am (More severe caseloads may extend until 1:15 pm)

Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Summer Special Education Teacher to join our team in the Roxbury, CT area for Extended School Year (ESY) services. This position offers the opportunity to work with students with diverse learning needs in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Position Details:

  • Provide instruction and support to students with special needs during the summer ESY program.
  • Develop and implement individualized lesson plans and educational activities to address student IEP goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and other team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed to support student learning.
  • Participate in team meetings, including IEP meetings and staff collaboration sessions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
  • Valid Connecticut teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including those with more severe disabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
