Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our school-based team in Lebanon, TN. The ideal candidate will provide essential speech and language services to students, working closely with educators and families to support student communication needs.

Key Responsibilities:

For SLPs:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students.
  • Provide direct therapy services, both individual and group, to students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom environment.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student-specific goals.
  • Maintain detailed records of student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

For SLPAs:

  • Assist the supervising SLP in delivering therapy services according to treatment plans.
  • Conduct therapy sessions with students under the direction of an SLP.
  • Monitor and document student progress, reporting findings to the SLP.
  • Prepare and organize materials for therapy sessions.
  • Support the SLP in maintaining accurate records and documentation.

Qualifications:

For SLPs:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid SLP license or certification in Tennessee.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
  • Experience in a school setting is desirable.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

For SLPAs:

  • Associates degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or related field.
  • Valid SLPA license or certification in Tennessee.
  • Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
