RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Perform inpatient and/or outpatient cardiacultrasound testing to include 2D echo / Doppler exams with bubblestudy, contrast as well as limited studies for cardiac function,effusion assessment and thrombus assessment. Provide complextechnical care with the use of ultrasound technology foradolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and provide all necessarydocumentation and preliminary exam findings.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATIONREQUIRED:
Graduate of registry approvedultrasound program or equivalent experience according toIntersocietal Accreditation Commission(IAC).
MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED:
None
MINIMUMLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited Cardiac Sonographer program.
Current registered or registry eligible with theAmerican Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) withRDCS certification or Cardiovascular Credentialing International(CCI) with RCS certification.
Must obtain appropriatecredential within twelve months of hire date.
Basic LifeSupport (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American HeartAssociation is required.
ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS:
Two years of related experienceas a hospital inpatient or outpatient / ambulatory cardiacsonographer preferred.
