About The Position

A corrections facility is seeking a family medicine nurse practitioner for locum tenens coverage.
Take in the sights and sounds of the vibrant Capitol Square, home to the Wisconsin State Capitol and bustling farmer's market. Explore the scenic trails and botanical gardens at Olbrich Botanical Gardens or catch a live performance at the Overture Center for the Arts.
There will be a 4-week credentialing period with potential for permanent placement. The schedule is Monday to Thursday, 8 am to 5 pm, the position is flexible on days with a minimum of 32 hours per week. The patient population consists of adult males in a maximum-security setting. Experience with Cerner EMR system preferred but not required, as extensive training will be provided. The required certifications include BE/BC-BLS, DEA, WI License, Covid Vaccine, and three references (including two from supervisors). Responsibilities include managing injuries, acute illnesses, follow-ups, physicals, and corrections. The position will collaborate with on-site Health Services Manager (HSM) and additional support staff as needed.
