We are seeking highly motivated Senior Computer Systems Analysts to support the development and sustainment of the U.S. Missile Defense Agency Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) anti-ballistic missile system project in Huntsville, AL. This position requires on-site work to be performed in Huntsville, AL.  There are no remote work options. 

 

The selected Senior Computer Systems Analyst responsibilities are to perform testing support at local NG hardware in the loop test venues, local Government hardware in the loop test venues, and at remote sites for Ground Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Weapon System (GWS) assets. The Senior Computer Analyst executes system test support and system test monitoring to ensure that defects have not been introduced into the hardware (HW) and software (SW) during transportation, installation, connectivity, and that the HW and SW function together at the various sites as they did in the development laboratory.

  • A current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
  • Ability to get and maintain Top Secret Clearance with SCI
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 3 years of related experience, or 0 years of experience with a PhD, or 9 years of related Computer Analyst or Computer Science experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree
  • Security Plus Certification
  • Familiar with reading and execution of test case procedures
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in analytical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Recent experience (hands on within the last 3 years) testing software and hardware for performance and functionality based on core functionality and requirements
  • Recent experience (hands on within the last 3 years) with software and hardware test monitoring, and test execution
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to support business (Alaska, Colorado, and Hawaii)
  • Huntsville, AL is the Primary Work Location (when not on travel)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering or related field
  • Testing SW for performance and functionality based on requirement specification and ability to identify and document exact sequence of activities desired
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with technical teams and customer personnel
  • Basic understanding of network infrastructure and hardware
  • Experience analyzing complex problems and developing solutions based on limited direction and definition
  • Experience working in team using Agile Methodologies
  • CMMI Level 5 organization experience
  • Experience in a Test Lead role
  • Experience with Automated Testing
  • Experience with Missile Defense Systems
  • Highschool Diploma
  • A current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance
