Location: Baker, Louisiana Area

Position Type: Part-time or Full-time

Term: ASAP to 6/30, with potential for renewal

Responsibilities: Soliant Education is seeking a School Psychologist to join our team in the Baker, Louisiana area. This position offers flexibility for both part-time and full-time candidates. The School Psychologist will primarily focus on evaluating students for Autism, Emotional Disturbance (ED), and cognitive function.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations to assess students' cognitive, academic, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
  • Administering standardized assessments and conducting observations to identify students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Emotional Disturbance (ED), and other developmental or learning disabilities.
  • Collaborating with school staff, parents, and other professionals to develop appropriate interventions and support plans for students with special needs.
  • Providing consultation and support to educators regarding best practices for addressing the diverse needs of students in the school setting.
  • Participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to review assessment results, determine eligibility for special education services, and develop IEP goals and accommodations.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Louisiana School Psychologist certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
  • Experience conducting psychological assessments and evaluations, particularly with students with Autism, Emotional Disturbance, and cognitive impairments.
  • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders.
