Occupational Therapist (OT) - School-Based Opportunity in Vista, CA

Job Description:
We're in search of a skilled and caring Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our vibrant school-based team near Vista, CA. As an OT in a school setting, your role will involve providing comprehensive rehabilitation services to students facing physical, cognitive, or emotional hurdles. Your main objective will be to assist students in developing, regaining, or enhancing their ability to carry out daily activities, fostering increased independence and overall well-being.

Responsibilities:
Perform thorough assessments to evaluate students' physical, cognitive, sensory, and emotional capacities and limitations.
Craft personalized treatment plans based on assessment outcomes, integrating student objectives, capabilities, and preferences.
Execute therapeutic interventions, such as exercises, activities, and adaptive equipment use, to encourage functional independence and enhance overall quality of life.
Offer hands-on therapy and guidance to students to enhance their motor skills, coordination, strength, balance, and range of motion.
Educate students, families, and caregivers on strategies and techniques to optimize independence and integrate therapy objectives into everyday routines.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
Solid understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology, coupled with awareness of various physical, cognitive, and emotional conditions and their impact on daily functioning.
Demonstrated expertise in assessing, planning, and implementing occupational therapy interventions.
Possess empathy, patience, and sensitivity to the unique needs and challenges of individuals undergoing occupational therapy services.
