Description

The EPICCredentialed Trainer will be responsible for achieving credentialedstatus; conducting ConnectCARE training for various applications,developing lesson plans and updating materials to reflect changesin policies, in the build and in curriculum; provides telephonesupport by logging into the Clinician line and assisting theService Desk with calls; provides at-the-elbow support throughplanned rounding events and other support activities; works withthe ConnectCARE Instructional Designer, build team leadership andmembers, Health System leaders and Education to assure end usersare able to use the system, identifying individuals who may needadditional support and providing that support as needed.

The CCT must be an effective trainer insuring students areable to use ConnectCare withConfidence



Requirements

EDUCATION: High Schooldiploma or equivalent

CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: EPICCredentialed trainer, preferred If not credentialed must attend andsuccessfully complete the 5 week Trainer Credentialing Program.Requirements for successful completion include: a passing grade of80% or higher on the competency exam and successfully presenting atraining topic LVN, RN or other clinical License required forclinical application training assignments

SKILLS:

  • Knowledge and application of adult learningprinciples
  • Proficient in Microsoftapplications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication and interpersonalskills to establish working relationships that foster optimalquality teamwork and education
  • Strongorganizational skills in managing multiple priorities
  • Proficient in Captivate or Camtasia,preferred
  • Understanding and interpretingclinical and non-clinical workflows, processes, and terminology inorder to translate information into educationally sound trainingcontent

EXPERIENCE:Previous experience documenting in EPIC's electronicmedical record preferred. Two years teaching or related medicalexperience preferred. Evidence of previous experience as a trainerand/or mentor preferred. 1 year of experience in applicable fieldwithin healthcare required.

NATUREOF SUPERVISION:

-Responsible to: CredentialedTraining Supervisor and Clinical Applications Manager, inInformation Services.

ENVIRONMENT:

The position may require occasional support duties duringoff hours, weekends and holidays. May be required to travel toperform duties. May be required to work outside of normal workinghours due to project demands.

General office setting withexposure to environment.

PHYSICALREQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift and transfer objectstypically not in excess of 25 lbs. Extended use of video displayterminal and keyboard utilizing sound ergonomicprincipals.
