Job Type: Full-Time
Position Overview: We are excited to announce an opening for a dedicated and knowledgeable School Psychologist to join our team in Lorain, Ohio. The School Psychologist will play a crucial role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students by providing comprehensive psychological services, including assessments, counseling, and consultation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and educational evaluations to identify student needs and guide intervention strategies.
- Provide individual and group counseling to address students' social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans.
- Work with school staff to create a supportive and positive learning environment for all students.
- Develop and implement school-wide programs aimed at enhancing student mental health and academic success.
- Offer crisis intervention and ongoing support as needed.
- Maintain thorough and confidential records of services provided.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to contribute to the development of effective educational strategies and interventions.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree or higher in School Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Valid Ohio Department of Education Pupil Services License with a School Psychologist endorsement.
- Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential preferred.
- Strong skills in administering and interpreting psychological assessments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, educators, and community organizations.
- Dedication to professional growth and staying current with best practices in the field of school psychology.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a School Psychologist in a K-12 educational setting is preferred.
- Experience working with a diverse student population and a variety of disabilities is beneficial.
