PRN Staff Pharmacist (Part-Time/Per-Diem) in Brooklyn, NY

Role: PRN Staff Pharmacist (2 Days/Week)

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM
  • Saturdays: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately dispense prescription medications in compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Provide counseling to patients on medication usage and potential side effects to promote optimal health outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy management and resolve related issues.
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and organizing medications and supplies.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries, resolving concerns, and building positive community relationships.
  • Conduct medication therapy reviews and reconciliation to prevent adverse drug interactions or duplications.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay updated on pharmacy practice and healthcare advancements.

Qualifications:

  • Valid pharmacist license in New York.
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
  • Previous experience in a retail or community pharmacy setting.
  • Strong understanding of pharmacy laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • IT: Experience with BestRx is a plus, but training will be provided if the candidate does not have experience.
