Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and qualified Sign Language Interpreter to join our team in Salinas, CA. **Position Overview:**

As a Sign Language Interpreter, you will play a crucial role in facilitating communication between deaf or hard of hearing students and their peers, teachers, and other school staff. You will work closely with students in educational settings to ensure that they have equal access to learning opportunities and social interactions.

**Responsibilities:**

- Interpret spoken language into sign language and vice versa for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Assist students in understanding and communicating information presented in the classroom.
- Collaborate with teachers and other school personnel to support the educational needs of students.
- Provide one-on-one support to students as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all student information and interactions.
- Adhere to professional standards and ethical guidelines for sign language interpretation.

**Qualifications:**

- Bachelor's degree in Sign Language Interpreting or related field.
- Certification through the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) with a score of 4.0 or higher.
- Previous experience working as a sign language interpreter in an educational setting preferred.
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and English.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to diverse student needs and learning environments.
