Instrumentation Engineer

The Opportunity:

What if you could use your engineering skills to transform the DoD? We are looking for a dedicated Instrumentation Engineer to join our team in the development, testing, and evaluation of advanced electronic and avionics systems for military aircraft. Often collaborating but sometimes troubleshooting alone, your electronic and instrumentation engineering expertise will be relied upon to ensure the smooth execution of technical tasks related to the integration, calibration, and maintenance of airborne instrumentation systems.

As an Instrumentation Engineer, you will work closely with vendors, aircraft maintainers, and test professionals to assist in the installation and troubleshooting of complex instrumentation systems across a variety of aircraft platforms. You have strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with engineers and stakeholders. You will be responsible for coordinating system checks, providing field support during testing, assisting with data collection, and contributing to technical documentation. This role also involves helping the team ensure all system components meet operational specifications and supporting mission-critical evaluations.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside experts in the field and contribute to the development of cutting-edge defense technologies. Join us and take on exciting challenges in advancing military capabilities.

Join us. The world can’t wait.

You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience in engineering, including avionics or electrical and troubleshooting complex systems from technical drawings or in the field

  • Knowledge of engineering principles as they apply to hardware design, including electronics, avionics, telecommunications, signal processing, and instrumentation

  • Ability to provide technical knowledge and analysis of functional systems, integration, documentation and implementation advice on exceptionally complex problems

  • Ability to develop technical documentation, including 2D technical drawings, 3D models, and other written technical documentation

  • Ability to collaborate with a team, including a variety of technical and non-technical teammates, to solve complex problems

  • Ability to communicate concepts, results, and other technical information to internal and external audiences and technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively

  • Top Secret clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aviation Engineering, or Electrical Engineering

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with Air Force programs, especially designing systems for military aircraft

  • Experience supporting or conducting test events in laboratory, prototyping, or field environments

  • Knowledge of DoD acquisition lifecycle

  • Master's degree
