Our healthcare facility is seeking a Mammography Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing mammography procedures and providing compassionate care to our patients. Our organization is committed to patient-centered care and we are looking for a team player who shares our values.

Job Details:
Shift: 8:00am to 4:30pm
Contract length: 13 weeks with possible extension
Start Date: September 26th
Hologic Equipment

Responsibilities and Duties:

-Perform mammography procedures according to established protocols and physician orders.

-Prepare patients for mammography exams, including positioning patients and ensuring patient comfort.

-Operate and maintain mammography equipment, including performing quality control tests and calibrating equipment as necessary.

-Ensure that all mammography procedures are performed with attention to patient safety and radiation protection.

-Work with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to analyze and interpret mammography results.

-Maintain accurate and complete patient records, including mammography results, patient history, and other relevant information.

-Keep mammography rooms and equipment clean and well-maintained.

-Perform other duties as assigned by the radiology manager or supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills:

-Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.

-Current ARRT certification and state licensure as a Mammography Technician.

-Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

-Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.

-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond quickly to changing priorities.

-Knowledge of radiation safety principles and practices.
