Title: Hospital Pharmacist
Location: Battle Creek, MI (Zip Code: 49017)
Shift: Days/Per diem as needed
System Used: EPIC

Duties:

  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy and ensure safe and effective medication use.
  • Review medication orders and patient profiles for accuracy and appropriateness.
  • Prepare and dispense medications according to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Monitor patient responses to medication therapy and intervene as needed to address any issues or concerns.
  • Provide drug information and clinical support to healthcare staff and patients.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and patient care conferences.
  • Document clinical interventions and maintain accurate records of pharmacy activities.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree from an accredited pharmacy program.
  • Active Michigan pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a pharmacist in a hospital setting.
  • Proficiency with EPIC or similar electronic health record systems.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts as needed.
