Description

POSITIONSUMMARY:  The Systems Analyst I is expected toconfigure and provide fundamental functional and technical supportfor the specified set of applications to a variety of business andclinical users. This position collaborates with the user communityto resolve technical problems and application performance issues aswell as support optimization and enhancement efforts.  Thisentails customer-centric workflow and technical knowledge as wellas contribution to the analysis, design, development, testing, anddocumentation, and implementation activities of assignedapplications.  The position will assist with analysis andtimely resolution of problems within the software applications, andprovide support for maintenance andupgrades



Requirements

MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:  Bachelordegree in a relevant field preferred

An advancedInformation Systems or Business degree will be considered anasset.  Information system training preferred

CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: If supporting Epic, Proficient or Certified statusin one supported module required within 6 months of startdate.

SKILLS:

  • Ability to work independently with limitedsupervision
  • Conceptual, analytical, andproblem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritizeand work through conflicting demands leveraging critical thinkingand decision-making skills;
  • Excellentcommunication skills, both oral and written.
  • Organizational and time management skills; ability toadapt quickly to changing priorities; ability to successfullymanage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellentcustomer service skills
  • Working knowledge ofMicrosoft Office and other productivity tools, and assignedapplications and technologies preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 

Minimum Qualifications:

Four (4) yearsof experience in an information technology discipline, orhealthcare operations including any clinical department, medicalrecords, patient access, or revenue cycle.

Relevant bachelor degree may substitute for (4) years ofrelevant experience.

NATURE OFSUPERVISION:

-Responsible to:  Assigned to a Manager of InformationSystems

ENVIRONMENT:

The position provides support in a 24/7 environment whichwill include rotating on-call support duties during off hours,weekends and holidays. May be required to travel to performduties.  May be required to work outside of normal workinghours during on-call rotation or during significant outages or dueto project demands. May be required to work long hours duringcritical problems or due to project demands.

Bloodborne Pathogen:A

General office setting withexposure to computer room environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift and transfer objects typically not in excess of 50lbs.  Extended use of video display terminal and keyboardutilizing sound ergonomic principals.
