Summary:

Inpatient Acute Physical Rehab is the only facility inSWLA that is CARF accredited. Here nurses work side by side withMedical Director Sarah Clevenger, physical therapists, occupationaltherapists, and speech therapists to deliver a tailored medical andrehabilitation program to serve individual needs. Nursing careduties include med/surg nursing practice and a working knowledge oftherapeutic techniques to teach patients and family members new andefficient approaches to accomplishing ADLs and managing their ownhealth. With an average length of stay being 11-14 days, we prideourselves on putting hospitality back in hospital. This positionalso provides career opportunities including specialtycertifications.

Assesses, plans, implements,evaluates and documents nursing care in accordance with facilityand departmental policies and in accordance with standards ofprofessional nursing practice. This position is accountable for thequality of nursing services delivered by self or others who areunder his/her direction.

Requirements:

Graduate of an RN program

Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills

Knowledge of scope and role of the Registered Nurse,Licensed Practical Nurse, Nursing Assistant, Patient CareTechnician and Unit Clerk

An unencumberedlicense to practice as a Registered Nurse 

American Heart Association Basic Life Support orcompletion within 90 days of employment
