PMTEC Simulations Technician and Tech Support Planner

  • Plan and Coordinate all Technical requirements concerning PMTEC and other exercise requirements.
  • Operates simulations systems to include installing, configuration and updating software when required.
  • Ensures the integration of hardware, software, programming, and database tasks.
  • Ensures compliance with policies and procedures for system design, programming, documentation, and testing.
  • Monitors system performance and takes corrective actions when required.
  • Reviews all program documentation and ensures compliance with hardware and software system configuration management policies.
  • Ensures all communications between servers, local and remote sites, and clients are fully operational.
  • Responsible for supporting on-site system testing to insure interoperability solutions between US, Korean, Japan, and other coalition simulation models
  • Coordinates the identification, resolution, and correction of hardware and software problems.
  • Provides 24 hour coverage during exercise periods to include working shifts when required to include night shift.
  • Demonstrate a keen understanding of the importance of the need for exceptional customer-contractor relationships.
  • Demonstrate a keen understanding on how simulations interoperate.
  • Maintains 100% equipment accountability. This includes hardware, software, and all system accessories.
  • Must be able to travel CONUS AND OCONUS when travel is required.
  • Assists in ALL other Technical Support Branch operations when required.

  • Demonstrate knowledge in Information Systems and Information Technology as described and required by the task.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of Networking, VMWARE, Red Hat Linux, and Windows
  • Understanding of large-scale distributed simulation exercises
  • Must maintain an active SECRET security clearance.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain IAT Level II and the appropriate computing environment certifications IAW DoDM 8140.03 such as Security+ CE
