Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Language Learner (ELL) Teacher to join our team in Hampton, NJ. As an ELL Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing English language instruction to students who are non-native English speakers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of language acquisition, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver Effective Instruction:

    • Plan and implement engaging and effective English language lessons for students at various proficiency levels.
    • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to support language development.

  2. Assessment and Progress Monitoring:

    • Conduct regular assessments to measure students' language proficiency and track their progress.
    • Provide feedback to students and collaborate with other educators to address individual learning needs.

  3. Cultural Sensitivity:

    • Foster a culturally responsive classroom environment that celebrates diversity and promotes understanding among students from different cultural backgrounds.

  4. Collaboration:

    • Work collaboratively with other teachers, administrators, and support staff to create a cohesive educational experience for all students.
    • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and strategies for language development.

  5. Professional Development:

    • Stay informed about best practices in ELL instruction and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Education or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
  • Valid teaching certification with a focus on English as a Second Language (ESL) or ELL.
  • Previous experience working with English Language Learners is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
