Vendor Data Specialist

ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Vendor Data Management Specialist will be responsible for handling and resolving Vendor data issues. They will be the key liaison between the P2P team, Sourcing, Treasury, Vendor, Buyer, Requestor and Business. This role will document processes, review SOPs, implement controls and enhancements to improve the Vendor Data Management processes. The role will work closely with third party consultants and other cross functional leaders share best practices, ensure that processes developed to be best in class and contribute towards Global Vendor Data standards.
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interact with Vendors to obtain key information.
- Collaborate with business and procurement/sourcing teams to ensure new vendors are onboarded, data is recorded accurately and completely.
- Lead resolution for Vendor data issues, escalations, and emergencies.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders (P2P team, Sourcing, Accounting, Treasury, IT, and Business) to implement & improve Vendor Data processes.
- Develop Vendor Data documentation, processes, controls, and SOPs.
- Able to respond and analyze ad hoc Vendor Data reporting requests.
- Respond to audit queries and reconciliations.
- Maintain and ensure that vendor information is accurate and up to date.
- Protect sensitive vendor information (banking information) and ensure compliance with data standards and regulations.
- Investigating and resolving issues related to vendor creation, modification, incorrect/incomplete data.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- Strong knowledge of an ERP system, preferably Oracle and Raindrop.
- Strong knowledge of the Procure-to-Pay process.
- Excellent communication skills and customer centric disposition that can diffuse contentious situations with vendors and internal customers.
- Skilled in providing analysis and commentary on metrics and files.
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Experience working with finance ERP systems and reporting tools (Oracle, Trax, HFM, Raindrop, Excel).
- Excellent skills in communicating ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise, and professional manner, with all levels, including presentations.
- Requires general business skills, industry knowledge, accounting principles and the Procure to Pay process.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including the use of Excel.
- Ability to utilize judgment in decision making process related to job tasks.
- Skill in productivity, planning, and workload management.
- Ability to design, document, and implement process improvements.

- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
