About The Position
ID: 49278823 Shift: 8H Evening Description: -SHIFT: evenings 3p-11:30p M-F with rotating weekends. Minimum of 5 years of experience required. Prior travel experience required. Responsibilities include: Conducts chemistry, hematological, coagulation, bacteriological, immunological and serological examinations of blood, urine, gastric contents, spinal, amniotic fluid and other body fluids;& make and stain slides. Must have experience using Epic Beaker, Sysmex, Abbott Alinity ci, and Abbott Architect i200. Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) from the ASCP Board of Certification. COVID Vaccination or medical/religious exemption accepted. Time off requests must be kept to a minimum during your assignment and must be approved prior to confirmation. Please note, holidays off will be limited to 1 of the 3 major and at the discretion of UCONN Health. Mandatory Emergency Staffing requirements Mandatory Overtime: During Personnel s assignment with Client, he or she is considered part of the unit and will be included as part of the rotation pool of staff (i.e., Client employees and Personnel) who are required to work additional hours on an as-needed basis to ensure coverage for the unit. Float: Client may float or reassign Personnel to a different department, unit, or facility (within 30 miles of the Personnel s originally assigned facility) within the Personnel s clinical competence.
