Family Practice physician job in Pennsylvania : Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Family Medicine Job
  • Clinical Role:
    • Looking for a Family Medicine Physician to join their team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A diverse integrated system providing health services including five acute care hospitals, three home health organizations, wellness centers, physician practices, and three federal PACE programs
    • Full-time position
    • 1:7 call, including some weekends
    • Provide direct services through comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning and treatment
    • Provide procedural services within the scope of specialty training and clinical competence
    • Communicate appropriately, following confidentiality guidelines, with internal and external providers to ensure quality and continuity of care Participate in the education of health professions students assigned to site rotations
    • Medical record documentation will be in compliance with policies and procedures
    • Maintain an active Pennsylvania physician license, board certification in family medicine specialty, and controlled substance registration with the Drug Enforcement Administration. Abide by the credentialing and re-credentialing policy
    • Maintain participation in Medicare, Medicaid, and other third party payer programs as required by administration
    • Management of chronic diseases and commonly encountered outpatient acute medical conditions
    • Knowledge and competencies in understanding and collaborating with the regions behavioral health and social service system
    • Comfort providing above services to individuals with severe/persistent mental illness, substance use disorders, and housing instability
    • Not accepting Locums candidates
    • Not accepting candidates who have lapsed BC and need to obtain again
    • Not accepting visa candidates
