TheNephrology/Urology Unit provides exceptional care for our fellowcommunity members who require Hemodialysis and/or specializedurological care. All nurses hired to our unit will become trainedin Peritoneal Dialysis, the only hospital in Athens to provide thisservice. Our Nurses work closely with our interdisciplinary team toprovide patient centered care. The Nephrology/Urology Unit iscomprised of multiple skill levels with the support of experiencedcharge nurses and an energetic clinical manager. It is important tohave a unit council with all disciplines to assist in making unitbased decisions to give the best patient care possible. RESPONSIBLEFOR:
The staff nurse provides nursing care topatients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursingprocesses to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care forpatients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies andprocedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growthand accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintainingstandards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of allassigned staff in the provision of quality nursingcare.

Qualifications:
MINIMUMEDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of a nursingprogram

MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED:
New Graduates of a nursing programeligible

MINIMUMLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
CurrentLicense in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLCMultistate License.
BLS certificationrequired.

ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS:
For PRN positions: One year ofnursing experience in a hospital setting preferred
Bachelors degree preferred
Advancedcertification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)
Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred
